Activities introduce reading and writing skills and enhance children’s language skills

Focuses on recognising and writing numbers 1 – 20, and learning to add single-digit numbers

Children learn to identify sound formations as letters, recognise sounds in words, and write words containing the sounds. We focus on single sounds at the beginning, end, and middle of three-letter words

Writing skills continue to be developed, including pencil grip and hand-eye co-ordination as children transition into readily printing letters and numerals
